How do you install Ditra over linoleum?
Make sure the lino/vinyl is clean and just skim coat it. Doesn’t have to have any depth to it, just flat trowel it and let it dry. Then use modified to set the Ditra, then Tec Full Set or another unmodified on top of the Ditra.
Can you put Schluter Ditra over linoleum?
I picked up my Ditra roll yesterday, and after reading the handbook that came with the roll (extensively), I found out that Schluter looks to be okay with laying Ditra on top of the existing Vinyl floor as long as an appropriate latex p.c. is used that works with vinyl.

Can you lay tile over vinyl flooring on concrete?
If the existing vinyl floor was installed over concrete and is glued down firmly, you should be able to tile right over it without any problem. You can also tile directly over an existing tile floor as long as it is sound. As with vinyl, clean it first so the mortar will adhere well to the old tile.
Can you install DITRA over Luan?
Remove the luan and either put down 1/4 ” cement board or an isolation membrane like ditra. Luan over time will compress and cause the tile installation to fail. It should not be used in any layer underneath tile.
